Test: How Much Do You Know About Best Robot Vacuum And Mop?

The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do, and it can even pick up pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available.  neato robot vacuum -vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of features that you do not often find on robots of this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are great but they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury which could make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hardwood floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
